Governance

Governing board

How OITF is Governed

OITF is governed by a Board of Trustees responsible for strategic direction, oversight, integrity of programmes, and protection of stakeholder confidence.

At OIT Foundation, we are committed to the highest standards of governance, accountability, and ethical leadership. Our governance framework is designed to ensure transparency in decision-making, responsible stewardship of resources, and alignment with our mission to create sustainable impact. We believe that strong governance is fundamental to building trust with our stakeholders, partners, and the communities we serve.

The Foundation is guided by a Board of Trustees composed of experienced professionals who provide strategic direction, oversight, and policy guidance. The Board ensures that all activities are consistent with our vision, values, and long-term objectives. Through regular meetings and structured reporting, the Board evaluates organizational performance, monitors risks, and upholds compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Our governance structure also emphasizes clear roles and responsibilities across leadership and management. While the Board focuses on strategy and oversight, the executive team is responsible for day-to-day operations and program implementation. This separation ensures accountability, operational efficiency, and effective execution of our initiatives.

Board responsibilities include:

  • institutional strategy and development priorities
  • approval of programmes and budgets
